Conny's column

It's January, the first month of the year, and the calendar says it's winter - time for reflection and new angles. I would like to write about trends, relations, prospects, insights and visions. But then comes the thought: What does "buzzword" actually mean? How do we avoid that what we want to share with you in the Personnel Club becomes more than just intellectual chatter and empty platitudes?

I asked Wikipedia for help on the buzzword question and got the answer: A professional or technical word or concept that is used by many, but of which few know the precise meaning. A few searches later I was introduced to the term "BULLSHIT BINGO", which had me laughing out loud because even though the term is new to me, I totally get the point.

Well! I have to get back on track.

We are close to the New Year, and it makes me think back to 2020. Accompanied by the best friends imaginable my New Year's resolution was to achieve more enjoyment, but by the end of the year I felt that I myself had been caught up in "bullshit bingo" with the word "enjoyment". Although there were many good moments, I did not feel that the year had lived up to my expectation of enjoyment. 2020 changed everything and where BC was previously used as a yardstick for the time before Christ, it suddenly became "Before Corona". Times had changed and we had ot find new ways.

A saying that filled a lot in my childhood home was that "nothing is so bad that it is not good for anything, and after the kooky year 2020, where we had to say goodbye to the world as we knew it, it was time to put the saying to the test and see what 2020 was good for.

Amidst chaos and unknown territory, there was suddenly time to realise the dream of creating a business concept that could be used by many and nurture development. My dream was to create a foundation where curiosity found its place.

In October 2020, the Ex3 People concept saw the light of day.

We live in a new era and juggle words such as diversity, inclusion, "the why", sensemaking and sustainability - a jungle of concepts that can seem like buzzwords. Even enjoyment was a buzzword for me back in 2020.

2024 is here, and at the risk of cultivating more buzzwords, I have FLOW on the agenda. I want to experience flow at work, enjoyment of presence and meaning in my choices. I want to explore "the whole person" on a new level together with you in the Personnel Club.

Through awareness design, I and the entire organisation in Ex3 People want to create responsible quality of life, sustainable working lives and "future as unusual".

We want to create compassion, immersion, endurance and persuance. I have experienced enough BULLSHIT BINGO in my lifetime, but it has taught me about the whole person.

I ran with the big win - I am visionary and ready for 2024 "FUTURE AS UNUSUAL". Let yourself be inspired. The vision is to become bigger humans with enjoyment and matched performance.

Enjoy! ❤️
